3.5 out of 5 skulls

A local truck driver’s family is killed and his girlfriend is raped by rival redneck truckers. They are found not guilty by technicalities in court and he builds an indestructible monster truck to go out in the night incognito and get his revenge in a bloody redneck way. When the truckers who drive for a local corrupt businessman Tiny Doyle (Ned “Squeal Like A Pig Beatty) start to die one by one, he decides to try and put a stop to the revenge murders. Once it is revealed what the killer is, a monster truck/tank with armor he tries to find out who’s behind the wheel and kill the ones who’s close to him in an effort to stop him.

Being 2 of my favorite sub-genres of cheese horror right here- killer cars and “new citizen/city slicker gets revenge against corrupt rednecks” I knew I would love this movie. It really has Roadhouse (I love that freaking movie) feel to it as well some some really gratuitous violence… and a fucking killer monster truck. How can you dislike a movie like this? The movie is a bit silly at times, really badly acted for the most part but it all pays off when we get to see the truck with the flamethrowers and drills. For the most part the movie was really entertaining from front to back. The bad guys in this film- The Doyles really make you root for the killer, even though the movie sets the killer up to be in the wrong. You pretty much get the same you’d get in any movie like this, not much blood, a boob here and there and a hero getting away with murder in the end and nobody questions it because the villains were so damn bad.

Recommended to those who love “revenge against redneck” and killer car movies. I’d also suggest it to people who love those schlocky Roadhouse and Trapper County War type movies.
